BAE
A downloadable game for Windows
BAE is a student project made in Unreal Engine by Maëlle Galland, Armand de Gaulejac, Duncan Redmond and Lucas Thalamy in the context of video game initiation semester at the Versailles architecture school. It was made under the guidance of Fabien Duchene and Cesar Trublard of Arkrep Studio.
BAE is a walking simulator in which the player will seek to discover what happened to Anna's big brother Max. We discover their home, a suburban Parisian "pavillon" that seems to warp and change as Anna discovers her brother's old camcorder.
Made in just a few months, the project's main inspirations were creepy pasta legends like the "MyHouse.wad" mod for "Doom 2", backrooms and liminal spaces, as well as the narrative-spatial-exploration in games such as "What Remains of Edith Finch" or "Gone Home" albeit with a smaller scope.
Hope you enjoy it ! :)
